The Wizard Of Oz
Everybody adores The Wizard Of Oz because, because, because! This fresh new production is based on the brilliant 1939 movie, as well-loved today as it always has been. Make your way to the London Palladium - the perfect venue for a big, bold spectacular of a musical like this - in summer 2023 and experience the magic for yourself. Bring the whole family, make an occasion of it, and fall in love with the Wiz all over again. The show is being directed by Nikolai Foster, who delighted us with his work on Billy Elliot The Musical, and A Chorus Line, and it’s on stage from Friday 23rd June.
The Wizard of Oz features all the tunes from the movie, plus extra songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The choreography comes from Shay Barclay and the Set Designer is Colin Richmond, the Projection Designer is Douglas O'Connell, and the Costume and Puppet Designer is Rachael Canning. The rest of the creative team is equally strong and the word on the streets is the cast is going to be amazing as well. As the Producer Michael Harrison says, “The London Palladium is the home of the summer blockbuster musical, and there really will be no place like the Palladium for Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, as they embark on their journey down the Yellow Brick Road.”

Wonderful afternoon Excellent show, perfectly delivered.
The props and sound effects were magnificent.
All actors were brilliant and the singing was sublime.
And Jason Manfred should stick to the West End.

Wonderful show experience This was my youngest sons first experience at the theatre and what can I say he was dancing he was so excited he wanted to be on stage with the characters. It was wonderfully put together. We were recommended this by a friend and so glad we came.

A fun & colourful production A nice uplifting version of an old classic.There was some very good effects & the reworking of the music was a nice touch. I particularly liked the 'big band' production numbers!

Amazing!! First time visiting a show our lives and we can definitely say it was amazing from start to finish. So much so we’d actually said if we wasn’t busy the next night we’d go and see it again. Loved every minute of it

Nostalgic I remember watching the film with Judy Garland as a child with my Mum and siblings. It was wonderful to see it as a stage show!

Superb I grew up with rhe Wozard of Oz, always the Christmas film I loved to watch.
Yesterday's theatre production was utterly delightful. Excellent music ,singing, costumes and the characters were perfect in their portrayal of the story - with a quirky twist or 2.

Good fun evening out You will hear all the familiar songs from the film, as well as some new ones. Singing and dance routines were of quality performance. Costumes were great. Highly recommend for fans young and old. I particularly enjoyed both witches!

Struans Treat Wonderful production all round, slightly spoiled by the altitude of the male member of staff who snapped shut his refuse bag as my grandson tried to dispose of his smoothie carton as we left, there was a small amount left wich then landed on the floor, stupid and rude reaction.

Super tolles Musical Wir saßen ganz oben und waren super begeistert. Man konnte auch als nicht Muttersprachler*in alles gut nachvollziehen und verstehen. Die Kostüme und das Bühnenbild war super toll und die Musik hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Wir würden es definitiv weiterempfehlen. Bestenfalls natürlich die günstigen Tickets (am Tag der Aufführung um 10 Uhr morgens freigeschaltet).

Sympathetic to the original but with a touch of updating... Great casting, the main characters were all exceptional, Jason Manford and Ashley Banjo in particular......as were Glinda and Dorothy... talented ensemble too..... I would have liked a longer medley of the classic tunes and curtain down.....

Brilliant Me and my 9 year old granddaughter loved this show so much.

Fab show I saw this many years ago and loved it. This time I brought my 11year old niece and again it was brilliant. The set/scene changes had a new modern feel but the story is still the same. The cast and acting was all amazing but my absolute favourite was Jason Manford as the cowardly lion.

FabulOZ Really helpful, friendly staff. Great show, cast were great, Ashleys debut, a triumph and Jason in particular was amazing as the cowardly lion. Toto and his puppeteer was genius and stole the show for us. Of course all the cast were phenomenal and we had the best time.

Loved it Absolutely loved the show, read some reviews before hand and wasn't sure what to expect. All o can say is we as s group of six thought it was fabulous, some great singing and dancing, costumes were fantastic and some funny comedy moments.100% reccomend.

Wizardry interpretation of Oz One of my all time favourite films (I am 66) interpreted, transformed and performed to the highest level. From the well known stars to the man looking after Toto it was excellent. Sitting slightly further back or higher up May give the best view. I was in stalls row E and loved it.

A MUST MUST SEE! I never usually write reviews, but oh my did these exceed expectations and absolutely brilliant!! The actors were phenomenal and kept us entertained and engaged at all times. I must mention my seats, usually when booking last minute you don’t get good seats or either you do and they are mega expensive. I paid £50 for both me and my brother last minute which I thought was a bargain! Not only that seats were mentioned as being restrictive with view but they were yet again fab and I could see everything close up and nothing restricted my view in the slightest! All in all one of the best shows I have been to and I have been to a fair few theatre shows ?

Wonderful Wizard of Oz x The musical was excellent throughout and funny too. Singing was brilliant, acting amazing and was so colourful. They gave the Musical a modern twist which was phenomenal. So pleased that we came to watch an excellent show. We absolutely loved it and could easily watch it again. X

Must see From start to finish the show was amazing, I loved how it all flowed. The singing was fantastic from all the cast, who knew Ashley Banjo could sing. I was totally wowed as was my friend who got emotional when Dorothy sang Somewhere over the Rainbow.

Great show!! Really lovely take on the wizard of oz story, some great performances by the cast, songs well performed. Really can’t fault it. My favourite was definitely the tin man.
